Ron Krebs     Email

BAC/Solutions    

After graduating from the University of Louisville and serving a stint in the United States Army, Ron Krebs started his insurance career in 1959 with Aetna Casualty and Surety. He worked his way up to VP of Sales, Marketing and Special Projects. Ron then formed his own agency in 1983 and joined the South Carolina Department of Insurance in 2008. Ron is active with IIAA, SCCIA, and TFSR and is a past recipient of the Palmetto Captive Award.  In 2016, Ron received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the SCCIA. In the same year, he began yet another phase of his career with BAC/Solutions.

Bryan Hudson, CPA, ACI     Email

Bryan P. Hudson, CPA, ACI is a shareholder in the audit and business advisory department of BPS and is a practice area leader in the firm’s captive insurance practice. He provides services to captive insurance companies, risk retention groups, commercial property casualty carriers, and health insurers. Bryan also provides services to managers, managing general agents, claims administrators, and other service providers within the insurance industry and outsourced regulatory compliance and statutory financial reporting.  

Bryan holds the prestigious Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) designation sponsored by the International Center for Captive Insurance Education. In 2014, Bryan was honored as the “Captive Person of the Year” by the South Carolina Captive Insurance Association for his leadership and dedication to the captive insurance industry.

Bryan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, the South Carolina Captive Insurance Association, and the North Carolina Captive Insurance Association, and is a member of the board of directors of the International Center for Captive Insurance Education.

Megan Ogden     Email
JLT Insurance Management

Before joining JLT Towner to head up the firm’s South Carolina office in Charleston, Megan Ogden handled account management, accounting and auditing duties for major firms both domestically and offshore.

Megan previously served as Vice President, Deputy Team Leader and Senior Account Executive for Marsh Management Services Cayman Ltd., where she began as an account manager. Prior to her tenure at Marsh, she was a Financial Controller for a Cayman Islands golf course and land developer and a senior auditor for BDO Seidman, LLP in North Carolina.

Megan received her B.S. in Accounting from the University of Alabama and her CPA designation in North Carolina.

Susan Hiteshew     Email
Under Armour 

Susan Hiteshew joined Under Armour in 2011 to build and lead its Global Insurance and Risk Financing program for all non-benefit lines of risk.  Susan is responsible for the strategic development of global risk management programs in alignment with UA risk tolerance, leads insurance due diligence for new business ventures, and owns the global risk financing budget.  In addition, she oversees a multi-functional team responsible for global claims, loss control, insurance operations and program administration.  Prior to joining UA, Susan worked for the Special Liability Group at Travelers Insurance. 

Susan holds undergraduate dual degrees in Environmental Science and Music from The College of William & Mary and a MBA from Towson University and was selected as one of Risk & Insurance Magazine’s 2016 Risk-All Stars. Susan serves on the boards of the National Risk & Insurance Management Society and South Carolina Captive Insurance Association. Susan holds both a RIMS-CRMP and ARM certification

Randy Martin     Email
Energy Insurance Services, Inc.

Randy began a career in insurance and risk management with the Aetna Casualty & Surety company immediately upon graduation from college as a commercial property and liability underwriter. From there he held several positions with other large insurers and brokers. In 2000, he left Willis to assume a newly created role in the Risk & Insurance Department of American Electric Power (AEP).  AEP is one of the largest electric power utilities in North America. During the last half of his 16 years with AEP, he was the Managing Director of the Risk & Insurance Department. Throughout his time at AEP, he was highly engaged in the utilization of a protected cell within Energy Insurance Services, Inc. With these years at AEP and 5 years at Borden, Inc. his captive insurance experience spans over 21 years.

Retired from AEP in to assume the current position he holds with EIS, Randy and with his wife, Tammy, relocated to the low country of SC late in 2016. 

Randy received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration majoring in Finance at West Virginia University. Tammy and Randy have three adult children with six grandchildren.

Gary Osborne    Email

Gary Osborne has been working in the alternative market for over thirty years, having held positions in Bermuda, Hawaii, Vermont and South Carolina. He has been involved in the establishment of numerous single parent captives, association captives, risk retention groups and traditional group insurance programs. Gary is the former President of USA Risk Group, Greenville, South Carolina office. In this role he was responsible for developing innovative alternative and traditional risk strategies and programs for clients and prospects of USA Risk Group (USARG) as well as oversight of the captive and alternative market divisions of USA Risk Group. He is a frequent industry speaker and has spoken at the CPCU Annual Meeting, RIMS, the American Society of Association Executives’ Conference, the Casualty Actuarial Society Conference, IBC Conference, Self Insurance Institute of America Conference, as well as captive industry conferences in Hawaii, Vermont, South Carolina, Arizona, Tennessee, Bermuda and Cayman.

In addition, he is a regular contributor to industry publications and has been published and quoted in Captive Review, Captive Times, Business Insurance, Risk and Insurance, National Underwriter and the Risk Retention Reporter. Captive Review recently ranked Gary as number 4 in the “Power 50” for the alternative risk industry.

Charles "Ricky" Saltzman     Email
Mississippi Health Care Insurance Services Corporation

Ricky Saltzman is currently the President of Mississippi Health Care Insurance Services Corporation (MHCISC). MHCISC provides management services to all our insurance plans/programs in the long-term care industry (CULIC, MHCA SIF, MHCA EBP, & LTCEIC). Those services include marketing, underwriting, claims, loss control, policy services, and other general administrative functions. Ricky is also President of both, Caregivers United Liability Insurance Company (CULIC), RRG, and Long Term Care Employers Insurance Company (LTCEIC). Additionally, Ricky serves as Plan Manager for the Mississippi Health Care Association Employee Benefit Plan (MHCA EBP), a MEWA that is the major-medical plan for employees of the MHCA (trade association) members. As well as the Fund Manager for the MHCA Self Insurers Fund which is a non-profit, statewide Workers’ Compensation Self Insurers’ Fund.

Steve Watson    Email
The Biltmore Company

Steve serves as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer for The Biltmore Company, with responsibilities including overall corporate managerial responsibilities for the accounting, finance, human resources, and information technology departments. Before joining The Biltmore Company, Steve served as vice president of finance and accounting for Revman Industries, a large textile manufacturer and marketing company in Greenville, SC. During his 11-year tenure at that company, he also served as controller. His prior experience includes positions as financial analyst with the Bi-Lo Corporation, corporate accounting manager for J.P. Stevens & Co., and staff accountant for a regional CPA firm.

Steve received his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte and his MBA from Clemson University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Global Management Accountant and Certified Management Accountant, and has been instrumental in helping shape the company’s financial health as well as an important partner in setting strategic directions for the company’s business growth and development. Additionally, Steve serves on the Board of Directors for Mountain Housing Opportunities and the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina.
